Description

Product overview
The Leica CM1860 UV cryostat is designed for rapid intraoperative and histopathology laboratory workflows, delivering reproducible high-quality frozen sections to support accurate diagnosis. The instrument is intended for in vitro diagnostic use.

Safety and disinfection
The system integrates certified UVC disinfection to reduce pathogen contamination, including SARS‑CoV‑2. Materials and surfaces support infection control and facilitate routine cleaning.

Reduce risk of cutting injuries
The Leica Premium blade holder includes a finger guard, blade ejector and magnetic brush to enable safe blade handling and minimize direct contact.

Consistently produce quality sections
The precision microtome is fully encapsulated for easy cleaning and stable performance. Dedicated storage for specimens, object holders and tools plus an accessible ambient-temperature top shelf support organized sample handling.

Ready for multiple users
Single-function keys and clearly readable LED displays provide quick access to functions for fast turnaround in multi-user environments. Ergonomic design and optional movable shelf improve workflow.
