OverviewLeica CM3600 XP is the cryo-macrotome for whole‑body sectioning, used to quantitatively investigate distribution of labelled compounds, pharmaceuticals and biologicals in pre‑clinical studies. It is also suitable for anatomical and morphological analysis of large specimens, including cryoplaning for 3D reconstruction.
GLP documentation and data trackingWindows PC‑operated instrument controller manages user access rights and records a chronological audit trail of events and alarms. Experimental parameters and results are stored in customizable protocols to support reproducibility and GLP requirements.
Sectioning large objectsThe heavy‑duty microtome does not require fixation inside the stainless‑steel cryochamber and can be positioned to the operator's preference. The knife holder supports specimens up to 450 x 150 x 200 mm (L x W x H).
Section dehydration for QWBAQuantitative whole‑body autoradiography workflows require dehydration of frozen sections; the CM3600 XP uses a twin‑compressor convection cooling design to provide extra capacity and a constant cold‑air stream during dehydration.
Comfort and safetyErgonomic and safety features include a knee lever for hands‑free sectioning, a lid retainer that locks the lid open, and integrated 24 V illumination inside the cryochamber to improve visibility and reduce injury risk.
