Product overviewHistoCore AUTOCUT is a motorized rotary microtome designed for laboratory workflows that require flexible sectioning options. Based on Leica Biosystems microtome design heritage, the instrument supports automated, semi-automated and manual sectioning modes and integrates safety and handling features for multi-user environments.
Cutting modes- Automated: motorized sectioning operated by push-button.
- Semi-automated: push-button specimen advance and retract for controlled, repeatable cuts.
- Manual: full mechanical control for operators preferring hand control.
Safety and utility- Automatic electronic brake: returns and holds the specimen in a blade‑safe position when automated sectioning is paused.
- Antistatic waste tray (brush included): reduces paraffin adhesion and speeds cleaning.
- Expanded top tray area (~23.5 cm W × 27.5 cm L; ~40% larger than RM22xx series) for tools and supplies.
- Precision-orientation system: reliable return to 0-position regardless of prior adjustments.
- Force balance system: reduces risk from an unbalanced object head.
- 2-in-1 blade holder: supports high- and low-profile blades with lateral displacement via the knife holder.
Selectable cutting modes & controls- Rock Mode (with retraction activated)
- Single Mode
- Continuous Mode
- Step Mode
- Remaining feed indicator: visual and acoustic signals
- Section counter and section thickness totalizer
- Memory position for object head
