Additional Safety NoteAdditional Safety Note 2023-04-24: According to the Instructions for Use of all refraction units manufactured by MDT, in patient chairs equipped with footrests the footrests are intended to support the patient’s feet during examination. Chairs are delivered with the footrest raised for transport; after installation the footrest must remain open and used in that position while the patient is seated. It is not permitted to move the chair up or down with the footrest in the raised position. When operating electro-mechanical parts of the unit, ensure the patient’s head, hands and legs are clear of any moving components (including chair movement, armrests if applicable, tabletop or phoropter arm sliding and rotating).
