The limb immobilisation system using a Velcro® wrist restraint has been developed to provide comfortable, effective, and secure support for non-agitated patients. Its purpose is to control upper limb movement, ensuring patient safety while facilitating healthcare procedures. Thanks to its ergonomic design, it features padded, breathable, and soft-touch bands that evenly distribute pressure, reducing the risk of skin damage during prolonged use. The Velcro® fastening system allows for quick, easy, and tool-free application, adapting to different body types.
The device is made with 8 mm breathable polyester foam as the padded core, a 100% viscose inner lining for gentle skin contact, and an outer layer of sky-blue polyamide velour (274 g/m²) that adheres securely to Velcro®, ensuring firm fixation without compromising comfort. The restraint straps, made of polyester and cotton, offer tensile strength of up to 160 kg (1560 N), providing a high level of safety.
To suit different patient profiles, the system is available in four versions:
– Velcro® Wrist Restraint Neonatal: reduced size and delicate materials for extremely sensitive skin.
– Velcro® Wrist Restraint Pediatric: adapted to the anatomy of children, maintaining the same comfort and safety standards.
– Velcro® Wrist Restraint Adult: standard version with a single restraint strap for basic immobilisation.
– Velcro® Wrist Restraint Adult with 2 straps: features a dual-strap system for greater stability and firmer fixation.
