Overview
Planmeca PlanMill 35 is a single‑spindle dental milling unit designed for chairside and in‑clinic production of restorations. It supports both dry milling (optimised for zirconia) and wet milling for a wide range of ceramics and composite materials, offering flexible fabrication for various clinical indications.

Optimised for milling zirconia
The unit enables high‑precision dry milling of zirconia without a separate drying phase. When used in dry mode with the suction option, dust is removed during fabrication. Dry milling can be added later as a retrofit for clinics that start with wet milling.

Capable of wet and dry milling
Switch easily between dry zirconia milling and wet milling of glass ceramics, hybrid composites and other materials. The PlanMill 35 uses dedicated milling strategies and speeds tailored to each material to ensure accurate fits and surface quality.

Suitable material range
Supported materials include zirconia, glass ceramics, hybrid composite blocks, ceramics and composite materials. The single‑spindle system mills both sides of a block efficiently (approx. 11–13 minutes per block) using linear motors and optimised tool paths for precision.

Planmeca PlanMill 35 integrates with Planmeca Romexis® and the Send to Mill application, enabling design files from the clinic to be transferred and milled directly. It forms part of a full chairside workflow combining scanning, CAD and CAM in a single visit.

Compatibility and integration
Open interfaces and broad compatibility allow integration with many intraoral scanners and third‑party CAD software, enabling accurate milling from external designs.

Maximised uptime with guided maintenance
The unit provides user notifications for daily cleaning, water changes and preventive maintenance, and monitors tool wear and block usage to support continuous operation.
