Overview
Planmeca Romexis® 3D Cephalometry is a software module designed for CBCT-based orthodontic and craniofacial analysis. It provides clinicians with tools for landmark placement, three-dimensional measurements and integration with surgical and restorative workflows, enabling consistent, reproducible cephalometric assessments.

Automatic cephalometric landmark detection
The module offers automatic detection of cephalometric landmarks from 3D volumes with manual adjustment options. Landmark placement is assisted by reference images and the system updates skull orientation automatically to simplify sequential landmarking.

True 3D analysis
Romexis® 3D Cephalometry supports true three-dimensional analyses such as Total Face Approach (TFA), transversal analysis and orthognathic surgery analysis, enabling comprehensive evaluation of skeletal, dental and facial relationships.

Dynamic measurements
Measurement values update dynamically during landmark placement. Patient-specific values are colour-coded to indicate deviations from norms and accompanied by textual interpretation to support clinical decision-making.

Flexible head orientation tool
Head orientation can be set manually or by using predefined reference landmarks to ensure accurate, reproducible measurement planes across examinations.

Seamless integration of facial scans
The module allows simultaneous viewing and alignment of 3D facial photographs and digital impressions with CBCT volumes to improve landmark accuracy and patient communication.
