OverviewThe QUART nonius is a dedicated X‑ray field measurement device designed for QA/QC of X‑ray systems. It verifies field size and geometry, analyses fanned beams used in CT and dental panoramic imaging, and supports both digital and conventional modalities. The device achieves a nonius-range resolution of 0.1 mm and features a 40 mm sensor area for localized field assessment.
Mode of Operation- Operating the QUART nonius is straightforward:
- 1. Connect the device via USB to a laptop or tablet (Windows required).
- 2. Position the head unit at the measurement location.
- 3. Use the light field or a reference marker for alignment.
- 4. Trigger the QA/QC exposure.
- 5. Immediately evaluate results with the nonius software.
Key Functional Capabilities- Verify congruence between the light visor and the actual X‑ray field.
- Assess position, width and dose profile of fanned X‑ray beams (CT, OPG).
- Provide visible markings to align light fields or positioning lasers.
- Suitable for supplementary field measurements in radiation therapy QA.
Software & CompatibilityThe nonius software is available as a single‑ or multi‑user on‑premise installation. System requirements: one available USB port. Supported operating systems: Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10 and compatible. The device is plug‑and‑play and connects via standard USB 2.0.
Applications- Field size and geometry verification for general X‑ray QA/QC.
- Analysis of fanned beams in CT and dental panoramic (OPG) imaging.
- Supplementary field measurements in radiation therapy QA workflows.
