Description

Subline
Calibrated Reference Sensitometer and Scanning Densitometer

Short description
The darkscan duo ref is a precision combination of a reference sensitometer and a scanning densitometer in a single portable unit. It is intended for acceptance testing and routine daily checks of X-ray film–screen systems according to IEC 61223-2-1, DIN V 6868-55 and DIN 6868-2.

Details
The integrated design reduces power and maintenance requirements by using a single power source (disposable or rechargeable batteries) and minimizes storage and operating footprint while preserving traceable measurement capability.

Features
  • Sensitometer module compatible with blue and green X-ray films
  • Manual exposure selection in 5 discrete steps for each film colour
  • Step wedge with 21 steps and optical step constant of 0.15
  • High exposure uniformity per step (maximum tolerance ±0.01 log(H))

Technical specifications
  • Exposure colour: Selectable blue or green
  • Peak wavelength: Blue (460 ± 10) nm; Green (510 ± 10) nm
  • Exposure H [lx·s]: 5 selectable steps per exposure colour
  • Exposure homogeneity: ±0.01 log(H) per step
  • Step wedge: 21 steps
  • Reference sensitometer: According to DIN V 6868-55
  • Spectral characteristics: ANSI PH 2.19-1979 (DIN 4512-3) for light source
  • Sensor optics size: 3 mm diameter
  • Measuring range: D = 0 – 4.5
  • Measuring accuracy: ±2.0% at D ≈ 3; ±(1.5 – 2)% for D > 3
  • Accuracy: D = ±0.01
