Description

Overview
GoTest™ provides a universal dry-reagent format for fast, low-preparation chemistry and biology testing. GoTest™ is ReadyGo’s proprietary reagent dry-down technology, designed to stabilise complete biochemical and molecular reaction mixes directly inside the test component. No refrigeration, no lyophilisation, no mixing required.

How it works
Using controlled thermal evaporation and matrix binding, GoTest™ forms a thin, even reagent film across matrix fibres. On sample contact, reagents rehydrate instantly to working concentration, enabling true sample-in / result-out workflows. Compatible with colorimetric assays and enzyme-driven reactions including PCR, LAMP, and RPA, GoTest™ preserves polymerases, ligases, antibodies, cofactors and small-molecule indicators.

Key features and capabilities
Reagents can be pre-loaded into consumables such as pipette tips, cartridges, spin columns or wicks, eliminating on-device liquid handling. Reagent films are stable at room temperature for up to 24 months, enabling portable and field-ready diagnostics. One drop of sample delivers one-step reconstitution and reaction.

Step 1. Drying
Working formulations (enzymes, primers, cofactors, buffers, substrates) are absorbed into a porous matrix and dried by controlled thermal evaporation (not lyophilisation). The process yields a uniform, stable film that binds to the matrix surface while preserving biological activity and ensuring reproducible reconstitution.

Step 2. Rehydration
When a liquid sample is applied, the dried film rehydrates immediately to functional concentrations. The matrix capillary structure ensures complete reconstitution within seconds without mixing or additional reagents.

Step 3. Reaction
After rehydration, the reaction proceeds as a standard amplification, enzymatic turnover or colorimetric change within the same component. The GoTest™ matrix maintains reagent ratios, limits evaporation during heating/thermal cycling, and supports highly reproducible analytical performance. If needed, the reconstituted reaction can be transferred to conventional tubes.

Formats & applications
Spin columns, pipette tips, in-tube, cartridges, wicks.
GoTest™ supports dry-down of a wide range of chemistries from small molecules to complex biological systems. Suitable for molecular, enzymatic and colorimetric assays, GoTest™ accelerates development of PCR, LAMP, immunoassays and biochemical tests for diagnostics, research and environmental monitoring.

Integration & advantages
GoTest™ enables integration of stabilised assays into third-party cartridges, strips and pipette tips as OEM or white-label components, without refrigeration or lyophilisation infrastructure.

  • Saves R&D time on stabilisation and drying chemistry
  • Provides a validated material platform with predictable release and rehydration behaviour
  • Bridges wet-lab assays with scalable manufacturing

  • De-risks assay translation from lab to field
  • Enables rapid prototype-to-pilot scale testing
  • Shortens time-to-market without lyophilisation infrastructure
