The cyclone mill TWISTER is designed for grinding food and feed samples prior to NIR analysis. An optimized rotor and grinding chamber create an air jet that transports the ground material through the integrated cyclone into a 250 ml sample bottle, minimising sample heating and preserving moisture.

Functional Principle
Size reduction is achieved by impact and friction between the rotor and the fixed grinding ring. Material fed from the hopper is pre-reduced by the high-speed rotor, then expelled by centrifugal force and pulverised between rotor and ring. The two-step grinding keeps residence time short. The integrated cyclone cools and separates the ground material, which is collected in the sample bottle, ensuring representative samples for NIR.
