Description

Product Overview
The Cross Beater Mill SK 300 is designed for coarse and fine size reduction in batch or continuous operation. It processes medium-hard and brittle materials and is straightforward to operate. For increased discharge rate or processing of heat-sensitive samples, an optional cyclone unit can be fitted instead of the gravity outlet.

Product Advantages
  • Wide range of accessories: collection and feeding systems, multiple rotors and sieve options
  • Defined final fineness using bottom sieves with apertures from 0.12 to 10 mm
  • Adjustable rotor speed to match different materials and applications
  • Gravity outlet with 5 L or 30 L collecting vessel for batchwise collection
  • Optional cyclone unit with 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 5 or 30 L collecting vessel for improved discharge and cooling
  • Easy cleaning via exchangeable push-fit grinding insert, rotor and sieve
  • Electric motor brake and central locking device for safe operation

Application Examples
cement clinker, chamotte, coal, coke, glass, granite, gravel, gypsum, minerals, ores, oxide ceramics, slag, soils, heat-sensitive samples

Functional Principle
Size reduction in the SK 300 takes place by impact. Feed material moves from the hopper into the centre of the grinding chamber where the cross beater catches and accelerates particles; grinding occurs between the beater baffles and the toothed grinding insert. Material smaller than the bottom sieve aperture passes through into the collecting vessel via the gravity outlet. Air drawn in through the hopper by the cross beater accelerates discharge; fine airborne fraction is separated by a downstream filter. An optional cyclone separator improves sample cooling and discharge from the grinding chamber.
