OverviewBio headless compression screws are biodegradable, headless mini screws designed to provide interfragmentary compression and stable fixation of small bone fragments. The headless configuration permits countersinking below the cartilage or cortical surface, minimising prominence and soft-tissue irritation. These devices maintain compression during the bone healing process and are resorbable, which can reduce the need for implant removal in selected cases.
Indications- Osteochondral defects
- Femoral condyle fractures/repairs
- Patellar fixation

- Interphalangeal (IP) fusions
- Phalangeal fractures
- Fixation of small bone fragments
- Fixation of cancellous fragments
- Arthrodesis procedures
- Osteotomies
