Bioabsorbable straight pins designed for fixation of small epiphyseal fractures in pediatric patients. Intended for use in upper and lower extremity procedures. Manufactured from 100% poly (70/30: L/DL) lactide (PLA) following a controlled degradation concept.

Indications
  • Repair of small fractures in the epiphyseal area
  • Primary use: pediatric surgery — lower and upper extremities


Material & degradation profile
Made of 100% poly (70/30: L/DL) - lactide (PLA). The material follows a controlled hydrolytic degradation: initial stabilization occurs approximately 8–10 months after implantation and gradual resorption and conversion to healthy bone tissue is observed over roughly 24 months.
