Product overviewBioabsorbable straight pins designed for fixation of small epiphyseal fractures in pediatric patients. Intended for use in upper and lower extremity procedures. Manufactured from 100% poly (70/30: L/DL) lactide (PLA) following a controlled degradation concept.
Indications- Repair of small fractures in the epiphyseal area
- Primary use: pediatric surgery — lower and upper extremities
Material & degradation profileMade of 100% poly (70/30: L/DL) - lactide (PLA). The material follows a controlled hydrolytic degradation: initial stabilization occurs approximately 8–10 months after implantation and gradual resorption and conversion to healthy bone tissue is observed over roughly 24 months.
Technical specifications- Material: 100% poly (70/30: L/DL) - lactide (PLA)
- Shape: Straight (Düz)
- Stabilization after surgery: approx. 8–10 months
- Final conversion: hydrolyzed by tissue water and replaced by bone over ~24 months
Clinical benefits- Provides reliable fixation during the critical healing period
- Reduces need for routine implant removal in many cases
- Simplifies future revisions when required
