VITA SUPRINITY® PC is a zirconia-reinforced glass-ceramic material supplied as CAD/CAM blanks (PC-14). Intended for single-tooth restorations, it combines a fine-grained homogeneous microstructure with processing compatibility for common dental milling units.

Processing, characterization and polishing – practical notes

• Characterization: use VITA AKZENT Plus stains (powder, paste or spray) and glaze after final anatomical milling; effect and body stains can be applied before or after crystallization firing.
• Customization: for cut-back technique, reduce incisal/occlusal areas and overlay with VITA VM11; due to good surface wettability, liner firing is often not required.
• Firing: crystallization in vacuum furnaces with slow cooling is supported; use honeycomb firing trays and platinum pins; firing paste is optional.
• Polishing/reworking: mill with fine diamond tools (~4 µm) and pre-polish with ~8 µm burs at low pressure; use a two-step polishing protocol (pre- and high-gloss) with VITA SUPRINITY polishing sets.
