Product overviewVivacon® 500 ETO centrifugal concentrators enable rapid concentration of nucleic acids and removal of PCR primers from samples with a 0.5 ml starting volume. Concentration factors up to 50x using low‑binding Hydrosart® regenerated cellulose horizontal membranes. Compatible with microcentrifuges having fixed‑angle rotors that accept 1.5 / 2.2 ml (11 mm) conical bottom tubes (95 mm depth). Reverse spin function simplifies sample recovery. Dual‑cycle ethylene oxide (ETO) sterilization to SAL 10⁻⁶; tested free of detectable human genomic DNA by qPCR (55 cycles; detection limit 2 pg).
Applications- DNA rebuffering of organic extraction samples prior to sequencing.
- Dye removal after sequencing reactions.
- Primer removal from PCR products.
- Plasmid concentration and clean‑up.
