Dental material on calcium, silicon, aluminum oxides basis Trioxident
Trioxident dental water-plasticizable material is available as:
• powder;
• powder and liquid (quick-hardening);
• paste - paste.
This material is used for:
retrograde filling;
filling upper apex part of the canal with incomplete root formation;
sealing perforations and other defects of the root canal;
treatment-isolating pulp covering;
root canal filling in the treatment of pulpitis or apical periodontitis. It is used in combination with gutta-percha pins (single-pin method and all types of condensation techniques).
Trioxident dental material in all its performances is a calcium aluminosilicate cement, which contains fine particles of calcium oxides, silicon, aluminum, a plasticizer, a radiopaque filler, and an active bacteriostatic additive - copper-calcium hydroxide. When mixing with water the plastic mass is formed, which actively allocates calcium hydroxide (provides high alkalinity of material - pH 12.8), gradually hardens, turning into insoluble calcium hydroaluminosilicate during the reaction.
