Description

Overview
Designed for engineers at AED/defibrillator manufacturers, the DFS400 from WhaleTeq integrates multiple testing instruments and functions into a single device. Dedicated software displays and automatically saves test data (shock waveform, energy in J, parameters and characteristic points) to build a traceable test history. The unit includes switchable built-in impedance loads to evaluate shock performance under various conditions and offers Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R) analysis to compare multiple shock waveforms for consistency (R&R module optional).

Functions
  • Outputs shockable and non-shockable ECG signals (VF coarse/fine, VT, AF, Asystole, Normal Sinus Rhythm).
  • Measures shock waveform and energy: displays waveform, Joules, parameters and characteristic points with 4 μs sampling resolution; voltage and time cursors for detailed inspection.
  • Basic waveform output: generates Sine, Square, Triangle waveforms with adjustable BPM, frequency and amplitude; configurable ECG waveforms for basic verification.
  • Switchable loads: built-in resistances (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200 Ω) selectable via software to simulate physiological conditions.
  • Raw data playback: supports playback of ECG databases and reproduction of clinically recorded or user-defined waveforms for repeated verification.
  • Simple automated testing: 'Auto Sequence' organizes and stores frequently used test items for automated runs.
  • Shock waveform and energy analysis: R&R analysis compares multiple waveforms and computes energy mean and standard deviation for quality confirmation (optional add-on).
  • SDK available to develop custom automated test software and integrate with production test workflows.
