Human ALDH2 Gene Detection Kit (PCR-Fluorescence Probe Method)
This product is used for in vitro detection of polymorphism of ALDH2*2 gene locus in genomic DNA extracted from venous whole blood samples .
Human aldehyde dehydrogenase ( ALDH ) is a tetrameric protease that catalyzes the oxidation of acetaldehyde and other aliphatic aldehydes. At present, 19 kinds of ALDH isoenzymes have been found. Cytoplasmic isoenzyme ALDH1 and mitochondrial isoenzyme ALDH2 with weak affinity to acetaldehyde are mainly studied. Among them, ALDH2 is high expression in liver and stomach, and is one of the key enzymes in human ethanol metabolism pathway.
