Your suggestions for improvement:

A hip prosthesis replaces the hip joint in such a way that it retains its range of motion.
ApplicationsArthroplasty is the surgical replacement of a joint. As its name suggests, it is usually performed on patients suffering from arthrosis, or degenerative joint disease.
TechnologiesWhile some of these devices are entirely of metal, others combine metal, ceramic and/or polyethylene plastic. Total hip replacement is the most common procedure. The prosthesis may be cemented to the bone or covered with hydroxapatite to promote its connection to the femur.
Some are designed to take the place of previous implants that have become worn, cracked or unglued. These include partial and total versions. They are meant to improve connection to the bone, for example by using a longer femoral shaft.
Choice depends primarily on the mobility provided by the implant and its durability, especially in the case of a young patient.
