The superficial treatment used for the endo-osseous part of the implant is based on Double Acid Etching.
The final clean with glow discharge plasma leaves the surface homogenous and without residue.
Characteristics of the coronal portion
The coronal part of the BIOFIX implant is machined to decrease the risk of peri-implantitis.
Superficial topography
This technique allows the ability to get a topography of the external layers to a depth of about 8 nanometres (nm) for optimal osseo-integration.
