Description
AptaHot Taq is a HotStart Taq DNA polymerase using DNA-aptamers instead of antibodies to block polymerase activity at ambient temperature. The DNA-aptamers dissociate reversibly above 50 °C, enabling room-temperature reaction setup and automatic activation during PCR cycling. The recombinant enzyme reliably amplifies fragments up to 5 kb with high specificity and reduced non-specific products and primer-dimers.
