Short descriptionProteinase K is a broad-spectrum serine protease designed for efficient nucleic acid purification. RNase- and DNase-free; supplied as lyophilized powder or ready-to-use solution.
DescriptionProteinase K is a non-specific serine protease with a high specific activity of 30 U/mg. The enzyme retains activity and stability in the presence of SDS, EDTA and chaotropic salts. Supplied free of RNase and DNase activities. The lyophilized powder is highly soluble (> 50 mg/mL); standard stock concentration is 20 mg/mL. Lyophilized material is stable at 15–25 °C for up to 4 days; for long-term storage, store at -20 °C in storage buffer. BIORON also offers Proteinase K Solution at 20 mg/mL.
