IntroductionAvian Leukosis Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for on-site detection of avian leukosis virus (ALV) infection in poultry. It accepts whole blood, serum or plasma samples. Packaging: 10 tests per box; typical assay time 5–10 minutes. The procedure is adapted to farm and field environments to enable rapid screening without specialized laboratory infrastructure.
Benefits- One-step testing with whole blood, serum or plasma.
- Simple operation suitable for trained farm staff and field veterinarians.
- Rapid result interpretation within 5–10 minutes.
- High throughput capability: single-sample test time ≤ 10 seconds with automated readers — up to 270 samples/hour at peak throughput.
- Compact, portable detection equipment with mobile terminal support and cloud-based quality control.
- High analytical sensitivity comparable to enzyme-labeled assays.
Components- Test devices (10 per box)
- Droppers
- Single buffer solution
- Instructions for use (IFU)
PrincipleAvian leukosis refers to a group of neoplastic diseases in birds caused by avian C-type retroviruses (ALV). Clinical manifestations commonly include lymphoid leukosis, erythroblastic and myeloid leukemias; other tumor types (myeloma, connective tissue, epithelial or endothelial tumors) can also occur. Many lesions affect the hematopoietic system and may spread to other organs.
Storage and stabilityStore the kit at room temperature between 2–30°C. Do not freeze. Protect from direct sunlight. Shelf life: 18 months as marked on the package label.
Test Procedure- Collect fresh whole blood and prepare serum or plasma if required. Perform testing immediately after specimen collection.
- Remove the test device from the foil pouch and place it on a horizontal surface.
- Add 2–3 drops (approximately 70–100 µL) of serum or plasma into the sample well; start the timer.
- Read the result at 5–10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are invalid.
