IntroductionAIV H5 H7 H9 Rapid Test Kit is specifically designed to detect H5, H7 and H9 subtypes of avian influenza virus antigen. The kit is based on fast immuno-chromatography technique to detect AIV H5 H7 H9 antigen in bird tracheal or cloacal secretions (or feces). After adding the sample, the sample moves along with the colloidal-gold labelled H5/H7/H9 AIV antibody; if H5/H7/H9 AIV antigen is present in the sample, it combines with the antibody on the T line and shows a wine-red color; if no antigen is present, there is no color reaction.
PrincipleThe strip is based on colloidal gold immunochromatography (GICA) and can detect subtypes of avian influenza virus. After adding the sample, it moves with the colloidal gold marker; if AIV antigen is present, it forms a complex with the colloidal gold label which binds to the pre-coated antibody on the T-line and turns the T-line red. Line C is the control line; presence of line C indicates a valid test.
Benefits- One-step whole blood, serum and plasma testing.
- Simple operation suitable for non-professional on-site inspection.
- Fast detection process; result displayed in about 15 minutes.
- Very short test time; can detect up to 270 samples per hour at fastest throughput.
- Compact detection equipment, easy to carry, supports mobile terminal operation and cloud platform quality control.
- High detection sensitivity, comparable to enzyme-labeled kits.
Components- Test devices
- Droppers
- Single buffer
- IFU (Instructions for Use)
Storage and stabilityThe kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable to the expiration date marked on the package label (18 months). DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.
Test Procedure- Collect bird trachea, cloaca or feces specimen and prepare the sample as required.
- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
- Place 2-3 drops (around 70-100 µL) of specimen into the sample hole. Start timer and wait for result.
- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are considered invalid.
Interpretation of assay resultValid test: control line (C) appears. If test line (T) also appears, sample is positive for AIV antigen; if test line (T) does not appear but control appears, sample is negative. An absent control line indicates an invalid test.
