Product summary
The ALV Ag Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for qualitative detection of Avian Leukemia Virus antigen (ALV Ag) in bird serum, plasma, lesion tissues or cloacal secretions. It is designed for rapid on-site screening in poultry farms and veterinary labs.

Introduction
This kit delivers a simple, one-step protocol for testing whole blood (serum/plasma) and cloacal or lesion-derived specimens. Results are intended for screening and epidemiological surveillance of ALV infection in avian populations.

Product details
  • Product Name: ALV Ag Rapid Test
  • Specimen: Bird serum, plasma, lesion tissues or cloacal secretions
  • Assay Time: 5-10 minutes (readings after 15 minutes are invalid)
  • MOQ: 800 test kits
  • Packing: 10 test kits per packing box
  • Delivery time: 1 week after receipt of payment
  • Storage Temperature: 2-30°C. DO NOT FREEZE. Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Shelf Life: 18 months

Benefits
  • One-step testing of whole blood, serum and plasma for field screening.
  • Easy operation suitable for non-specialist on-site inspection.
  • Rapid turnaround: results visible within 5–10 minutes; typical display around 15 minutes.
  • High throughput potential: per-sample processing time is short, enabling rapid screening workflows.
  • Compact, portable format compatible with mobile data logging and cloud-based quality control.
  • Sensitivity comparable to enzyme-labeled assays for effective field screening.

Components
  • Test devices
  • Droppers
  • Single buffer
  • IFU (Instructions for Use)

Principle
The ALV Ag Test Kit uses a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic format. The test device features a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. When the prepared specimen is applied, it migrates along the strip and reacts with immobilized monoclonal antibodies. Presence of ALV antigen produces a visible T line; the C line must appear to validate the assay.

Storage and stability
Store kits at 2–30°C. Do not freeze and avoid direct sunlight. The kit is stable until the expiration date printed on the package (18 months from manufacture).

Test procedure
  • Collect fresh whole blood and prepare serum or plasma immediately.
  • Remove test device from foil pouch and lay horizontally.
  • Add 2–3 drops (≈70–100 µL) of serum or plasma into the sample well. Start timer.
  • Read result in 5–10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are invalid.

Interpretation of assay result
A visible T line indicates presence of ALV antigen in the specimen. The C line must be present for a valid result. Absence of the C line invalidates the test.
