Product overviewDisposable tubular staplers (PYGX series) are single-use sterile-packed surgical instruments for simultaneous stapling and transection of soft tissues, commonly used in gastrointestinal, thoracic and general surgery including anastomosis. They form a circular staple line and cut the tissue between staples to provide rapid, consistent closure compared with suturing.
Key benefits- Precise and consistent stapling: adjustable approximating nut and visual indicator allow accurate alignment across various tissue thicknesses.
- Improved clinical efficiency: single-action staple-and-cut reduces operative time and surgical handling.
- Ergonomic handling: contoured handle and intuitive firing mechanism reduce surgeon fatigue and facilitate use through small incisions or trocars.
- Single-use sterile design: eliminates reprocessing and lowers cross-contamination risk in the operating room.
Scope of applicationPYGX tubular staplers are indicated for joining or dividing hollow organs and tissues during end-to-end and end-to-side anastomoses in gastrointestinal, thoracic and general surgical procedures. The device is introduced through a small incision or trocar, positioned over target tissue, and fired to staple and cut in one step.
How to use- Ensure the red safety button is closed, remove the blue protective cover, and verify the nail cartridge is complete.
- Insert the staple holder and stapler body into the two ends of the organ to be anastomosed and place purse-string sutures around the staple holder and guide shaft.
- For end-to-end or end-to-side anastomosis use the purse-string extension rod: insert into the circlip tube, position the abutment socket in tissue, secure the purse-string suture, then clamp and remove the extension.
- Advance the nail abutment seat into the guide shaft until an audible click; turn the adjusting nut clockwise to approximate and compress tissue. Verify the needle indicator reaches the green zone appropriate for tissue thickness.
- Confirm tissue seating, open the red safety button, grasp the handle firmly and fire once. Hold the handle for 30–60 seconds after firing.
- Rotate the adjusting nut counterclockwise 2–3 turns, gently rock the instrument and withdraw slowly.
- Remove the nail seat and inspect the staple line and cut tissue; place additional sutures if required.
