Powered by IMA Active’s sector expertise and designed with Italian engineering, PREXIMA is a family of tablet presses covering R&D, medium and high-speed production. The platform keeps tablet weight and hardness uniform even with challenging powders, supports waste reduction strategies and includes machine-learning functions for automatic process-parameter adjustment and single-product rejection.

Machine versions

• PREXIMA 80: Intended for R&D and small-scale production. R&D configurations include multiple tooling options to characterise tablets. Turret accepts four B stations and four D stations. Optionally available with IMAGO R&D software. Equivalent high-containment version available for OEB 5 installations.
• PREXIMA 300: Single-sided press for medium production. Features excellent accessibility, quick turret removal via a rotating arm inside the mechanical compartment and an integrated electrical cabinet for simpler installation. Suitable for tablets up to 39 mm diameter.
• PREXIMA 800: Double-sided press for high-speed production and bilayer tableting. Full access around the machine; four columns connected by cast-iron structures support four compression rollers on both sides to ensure force transfer, compression stability and high-speed operation.
