  • Digital set combining the KERN OKO 178 metallurgical microscope with the KERN ODC 251 tablet microscope camera and a C‑mount adapter; intended for metallurgical inspection, material testing and surface analysis in industrial laboratories.


OKO 178 (microscope)
  • Professional metallurgical trinocular microscope for metal inspection and surface analysis.
  • Combined LED incident and LED transmitted illumination.
  • Height‑adjustable, centreable Abbe condenser NA 1.25 with field diaphragm for Köhler illumination.
  • Open mechanical cross stage and simple polarising unit (analyser and polariser) included.


ODC 251 (tablet microscope camera)
  • Android tablet with 10.5" HD touch display and integrated 8 MP (1/1.8") CMOS sensor; compatible with trinocular microscopes via C‑mount adapter.
  • 4K video recording and live image streaming to the tablet for laboratory monitoring, quality control and training.
  • High‑resolution image capture, measurement tools (distance and area), automatic white balance and automatic contrast adjustment.
  • Interfaces: USB (data transfer and storage on USB stick), USB mouse support, HDMI output, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi.
