At the dental laboratory, the main focus is on precision, attention to detail and great craftsmanship. In many cases, everything in this world revolves around (all-) ceramic material. The art of mastering this fine material is at the heart of all dental work. Whether after pressing, CAD/CAM milling and grinding or veneering – it is the finishing of the surfaces that gives the restoration its unique natural look.
The key lies in introducing a natural morphology; an interplay of micro-relief and macro-textures. Ceramics are sensitive and should be processed with care and suitable tools. Monolithic zirconia, pressed lithium disilicate crowns, veneers made of glass or feldspar ceramic, crowns made of hybrid ceramic or veneered anterior bridges – Komet has the right solution for every application.
The brilliant white color of Komet’s ceramic burs makes these instruments look elegant and sophisticated. The K261GSQ ceramic cutter is ideal for finishing pre-sintered zirconia. The bur glides smoothly and free of vibrations across the sensitive material which makes it easier, for example, to remove objects from the blank after milling.
A special polisher is available for processing zirconia before sintering. Thanks to a two-zone working part and a special geometry, it enables gentle, efficient processing of the fragile pre-sintered material.
