OverviewVAC-V2 uses the differential‑pressure method to measure gas transmission rate and to determine solubility, diffusion and permeability coefficients of plastic films, composite films, high‑barrier materials, sheets and aluminum foils. The system is designed for laboratory and quality‑control use where reproducible barrier data are required.
Product Features- Single‑run measurement of gas transmission rate, solubility coefficient, diffusion coefficient and permeability coefficient
- Three independent specimen chambers provide separate results for up to three different or equivalent samples in one operation
- Wide range and high‑precision temperature (5–95°C) and humidity control to match diverse test conditions
- Two test modes: proportional mode and standard mode to suit different measurement strategies
- Extendable test range for materials with high permeability
- Data fitting function to obtain reliable results under extreme conditions and across temperatures
- Optional customization for testing toxic, flammable or explosive gases
- Computer‑controlled with automated test sequence and data logging
- Reference film for fast calibration and consistent, comparable results
- Standard RS232 port for data export and integration with laboratory systems
- Supports Lystem™ Lab Data Sharing System for central result and report management
PrincipleThe pre‑conditioned specimen is mounted and sealed between two chambers of a gas diffusion cell. The low‑pressure chamber is evacuated first and the entire cell is then evacuated. Test gas is introduced into the high‑pressure chamber to establish a constant pressure differential. Gas permeates through the specimen into the low‑pressure chamber; permeability and related coefficients are calculated from the monitored pressure changes in the low‑pressure chamber.
