Product overviewOptocloud S is a benchtop 3D optical scanner designed for fast, accurate inspection of small flat, cylindrical and complex components directly in production environments. It enables multi-feature measurement in a single cycle, reducing inspection time while delivering repeatable metrology-grade results.
Detailed descriptionOptocloud S integrates multiple laser profilometers, a high-precision rotary axis and an optimized optical architecture to perform complete 360° inspection of parts without repositioning. In a single measurement cycle the system acquires millions of points from multiple viewing angles, reconstructing the component's 3D geometry in less than 30 seconds and allowing simultaneous evaluation of dozens of characteristics, including on structured or complex parts.
The optical configuration is tailored to part families to maximize measuring range and accuracy while maintaining flexibility across different models without costly setup changes. Engineered for industrial use, Optocloud S provides long-term stability and repeatability, making it suitable for both in-line and off-line quality control.
The system supports manual loading or full robotic automation. In automated lines measurement results can be sent directly to the customer's network to support SPC, process optimization and rework actions, enabling closed-loop quality control and Industry 4.0 integration.
Applications- Die-cast parts (housings, brackets, covers)
- Laminated, stamped or formed components (rotor and stator core packs, bent parts)
- Mechanical components (nuts, rings, similar parts)
- Assemblies (wound stators, rotors for industrial motors)
- Other applications including orthopedic components, aerospace parts and more
Benefits- Significantly reduces inspection time in in-line processes, offloading slower tactile gauges and CMMs
- Eliminates multiple dedicated gauging tools, reducing equipment cost and floor space
- Removes operator influence from measurements, ensuring consistent and repeatable results
- Enables reliable inspection of complex and delicate features that are difficult for tactile systems (soft surfaces, wound coils, hairpins, laminated materials)
- Reduces dependency on laboratory CMMs by bringing metrology to the production floor
- Minimizes need for highly skilled operators through automated acquisition and measurement programs
