OverviewThe Real-Bone X-ray knee phantom reproduces human knee anatomy using actual bone embedded in tissue-equivalent material. It is designed for radiography training, medical education, equipment testing and quality assurance in clinical and manufacturing environments.
Construction and materialsGenuine bone specimens are fixed within a tissue-equivalent soft-tissue matrix. Finish options include transparent or opaque; an opaque coating can be applied to conceal internal structures where required. Units are handmade and may vary slightly in size and shape.
Anatomy included- Thigh (distal femur), lower leg (proximal tibia/fibula) and kneecap (patella)
- Anthropomorphic positioning suitable for standard knee radiographic views
Applications- Radiography and fluoroscopy training in teaching hospitals and universities
- Equipment performance testing and image quality assessment
- Calibration and acceptance testing for X-ray systems
