Product overviewThe QUART dent/digitest M1 and M2 phantoms are extended models designed to evaluate both high-contrast and low-contrast performance of dental X‑ray systems. They are intended for use by dental equipment manufacturers, service engineers and medical physicists for image quality assessment, acceptance testing and routine QC.
Versions / Article numbers- M1 version - Art. 12108
- M2 version - Art. 12109
Key parameters- Enhanced spatial (line-pair) resolution
- Low-contrast resolution elements
- Radiation field alignment
- Image homogeneity / uniformity
- Dose equivalent value
- Detection of artefacts and image flaws
Technical specifications- Internal filtration: 6.0 mm aluminium (standard compliant)
- Low-contrast resolution: 6 objects (Ø 2.5 / 2 / 1.5 / 1 / 0.75 / 0.5 mm)
- Contrast detail: integrated low-contrast wedge to determine perceptibility limit
- Wedge location: between line-pair resolution pattern and low-contrast objects
- Limiting contrast detail: visibility test similar to IQF / contrast-detail curve
- High-contrast resolution (by version): M1: 4 / 5 / 5.5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 Lp/mm (45° / 0.05 Pb) — recommended for panoramic/cephalometric systems; M2: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20 Lp/mm (45° / 0.05 Pb) — recommended for intra-oral systems
- Slots: for digital storage phosphor plates, intra-oral sensors and dose detectors
- Centering: 3 centring rings to fit a range of tube diameters
- Size: 80 x 80 x 3.6 mm (L x W x H)
Applications- Quality control and acceptance testing of dental X‑ray devices
- Routine performance checks during production or servicing
- Comparative imaging and development of acquisition protocols
