Description

Genutech CCK revision knee prosthesis system The Genutech® CCK revision knee system is a constrained system intended for patients with deficient prosthesis stabilization due to inadequate functioning of both the mediolateral and anteroposterior ligaments, as well as varus/valgus instability. It is also indicated for major bone defects that may occur in combination with the existing instabilities. It is always used with cement in femoral components and tibial trays. In straight and offset stems, use without cement is recommended initially. Articular system characteristics: Femoral component – tibial insert: – Maximum congruence to minimize stresses and reduce friction and wear. – The design of the condyles permits flexion up to 140º. – Maximum mobility restriction through the design of the tibial post and the CCK intercondylar box. This restriction will affect the external-internal rotation and the varus-valgus motion. – In a femorotibial joint replacement, there should always be congruency between the sizes of the femoral component and the insert. – The system is designed to perform mechanically under the more demanding requirements of a revision knee arthroplasty. Femoral component – patella: – The design of the femoral component’s patellar canal permits a smooth and anatomical motion for the patella throughout the range of flexion. – Maximum congruence to minimize stresses and reduce friction and wear. Nonarticular system characteristics: Tray – tibial insert: – Total modularity among tray and tibial insert sizes.
