TODA STREPDIAG B is an immunological test in cassette format allowing the detection of group B streptococcus in vaginal secretions of pregnant women. The test contains a nitrocellulose membrane strip with immobilized rabbit anti-streptococcus B antibody in the test reaction zone (T). Another anti-rabbit antibody is immobilized in the control reaction zone (C) on the nitrocellulose membrane allowing the detection of streptococcus B.
The TODA STREPDIAG B test allows a reliable diagnosis of streptococcus B infections upon entry of the patient in the delivery room as recommended by the Haute Autorité de Santé or in a case of premature delivery following, for example, a premature rupture of the membranes.
