EMOSAFE EN-65 Network Isolators are designed for use in copper-based Ethernet connections across private, public, and commercial networks — and are particularly suited for medical technology applications. They provide effective protection for both patients and operators against leakage currents and fully comply with the stringent requirements of the UL/IEC 60601–1 international standard for galvanic isolation devices in medical environments.
The EN-60 Series Network Isolators completely interrupt any galvanic connection (including wires and shielding) between devices linked via copper network cables. This prevents potential equalization currents and shields connected equipment and users from transient overvoltages caused by installation faults, lightning strikes, switching operations, or electrostatic discharge.
When connected to medical devices, the EN-60 Series Isolators ensure safe and reliable operation within patient environments. They also meet all IEC 60601-1 requirements for two Means of Patient Protection (2 MOPP) at the network interface, significantly reducing electrical risks for both patients and operators.
