Durability testing
Image durability of a 5 mil narrow-bar 16-digit Code 128 barcode was evaluated after exposure to solvents, abrasion and water. Test pass = immediate scan without repeated attempts.

• Abrasion: Pass — exceeds 1,000 rubs with a dry crocking cloth.
• Water: Pass — withstands full immersion in 40°C water up to 6 hours.
• 91% IPA / 70% IPA / Purell: Pass — withstands 50 rubs with soaked applicator.
• Betadine: Pass — withstands 100 rubs with soaked applicator.
• Tensile strength: Pass — withstands up to 45 lb (≈20 kg) of force.
