The Astrolabe RLS 2.7 (Radial Locking System) is indicated for the internal fixation of combined proximal radial head and radial neck fractures, including multifragmentary patterns where stable fixation is required to restore anatomical alignment and articular congruity.
The system utilizes 2.7 mm locking and non-locking screws to provide angular stability and construct rigidity, particularly in osteoporotic or comminuted bone. Its low-profile plate design allows for anatomical contouring to the proximal radius, minimizing soft tissue irritation while preserving vascular supply to the radial head.
By enabling stable fixation of both the radial head and neck segments, the RLS 2.7 supports early mobilization protocols and aims to maintain elbow biomechanics, forearm rotation, and joint stability, thereby reducing the need for radial head excision or prosthetic replacement.
Note: Astrolabe sells exclusively to distributors (not end-users). This plate is part of a complete system. Please refer to the PDF for the full set of components. Plates, screws, and instruments are not sold individually.
