Description

Reagent Y100 is a neutral aqueous solution containing sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, cetylpyridinium choride monohydrate and octylphenol ethoxylate. The pH value is between 6.9 and 7.1. Reagent Y100 is used for counting yeast cells. Reagent Y100 is a lysis buffer which permeabilizes the yeast cell wall and membranes, rendering the DNA of the yeast cells susceptible to staining with propidium iodide (PI). Reagent Y100 also dilutes the yeast sample before counting. Please refer to the specific Application Notes for detailed instructions. The solution is for research use only (RUO) and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic uses. Please refer to the documents below for further details. Order the product in our Webshop.
