Solution 8 – DAPI•PBS is a staining reagent containing 4’,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) and phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). It is used to stain the nuclei of necrotic and late-apoptotic cells. Solution 8 – DAPI•PBS is used to staining nuclei of cells with compromised plasma membranes to quantify non-viable cells. Solution 8 – DAPI•PBS is used in conjunction with Solution 7.
