Description
The HORUS® TMC trapezio-metacarpal design is based on 20 years of clinical practice, research and results of specialist hand surgeons and of the GUEPAR research group. HORUS® TMC claims direct heritage from these results. The HORUS® TMC coated version is the direct cementless evolution of the original GUEPAR cemented implants. The rationale of the HORUS® TMC prosthesis relies on a strong retentivity between the cup and the head combined with an intra-prosthetic ROM superior to the natural mobility of the TM joint, and on a strong primary fixation of the trapezium cup obtained by direct screwing of the cup in the bone.
