Product overviewPALACOS® MV+G is a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cement containing gentamicin. It has a medium initial viscosity, is radiopaque and is coloured green using colorant E141.
Key features- Medium-viscosity PMMA bone cement
- Contains gentamicin antibiotic
- Radiopaque formulation for intraoperative imaging
- Green colour (E141) for visual identification
Proven quality and handlingCompared with high-viscosity PALACOS® cements, PALACOS® MV+G exhibits a lower initial viscosity and slightly slower setting, resulting in easier mixing and an extended working time. Gentamicin is incorporated to provide local antibiotic protection of the cured cement and adjacent tissue.
Indications- Anchoring of endoprostheses in primary and revision arthroplasty of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow
- Bone reconstruction using the induced membrane technique after tumor resection and/or trauma
