Product OverviewThe Rubella Rapid Test Device SRU-422 is a rapid qualitative lateral-flow immunoassay for detection of IgM antibodies to Rubella in human serum or plasma. It is intended for clinical screening and point-of-care use where rapid serological indication of recent Rubella infection is required.
PrincipleThe device detects Rubella-specific IgM by visual interpretation of colored bands on a membrane prepared with Rubella antigens in the test region and an internal control region. The specimen mixes with colored recombinant anti-human IgM latex conjugates on the sample pad and migrates along the membrane by capillary action. A colored band at the test region indicates presence of Rubella IgM; absence of that band indicates a negative result. A colored band at the control region confirms correct sample application and membrane function.
