Product description
The Syphilis Rapid Test Device (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a qualitative membrane-based immunoassay for the detection of Treponema pallidum (TP) antibodies (IgG and IgM) in whole blood, serum or plasma. It is intended for rapid point-of-care screening of TP exposure.

Principle
Recombinant syphilis antigen is immobilized in the test line region. After the specimen is added, it reacts with antigen-coated particles and migrates along the membrane. The double-antigen format enables detection of both IgG and IgM. Presence of TP antibodies produces a colored line at the test region, while absence yields no test line. A colored control line must appear to confirm correct specimen volume and membrane flow.
