Description

Overview
Electrospinning is an efficient method to produce nanofiber mats with controlled pore size and fiber diameter. Nanofibers offer small pore size, high porosity, large surface area, gas and liquid permeability and mechanical strength, enabling cosmetic products such as nanofiber facial masks, patches and lightweight transparent sunscreens. Electrospun nanofibers also enable encapsulation and controlled release of active ingredients for improved penetration and sustained effect.

Inovenso's CosmeTailor 1000 is designed for production of nanofiber-based cosmetic products with formulations including hyaluronic acid, collagen, aloe vera, vitamins and nutrients. The system features an effective coating width of 1 m (horizontal) and a roll-to-roll continuous production layout. Its patented open-surface, nozzle-free design provides high throughput and eliminates nozzle clogging. The CosmeTailor 1000 outputs a continuous pre-cut nanofiber sheet (1 m width) intended for masks and patches; cutting and packing are considered post-processing and are not included in the machine operation.
