Overview
Vision One™ is a modular, multi-wavelength photocoagulation laser system designed to address the full range of retinal photocoagulation procedures. The system is upgradable to add wavelengths and scanners and supports a wide variety of delivery devices for clinic and operating room use.

Wavelengths and Clinical Notes
Red (659 nm)
Red laser light provides excellent penetration through hemoglobin; chosen when penetrating preretinal, subretinal or intraretinal hemorrhage is required. Optimal for deeper choroidal penetration to treat choroidal melanomas or deep pigmented lesions. Preferred for infant ROP treatment because it penetrates the tunica vasculosa lentis with reduced cataract risk.

Yellow (577 nm)
Yellow laser light offers high absorption in hemoglobin and negligible absorption by macular xanthophyll. It penetrates nuclear sclerotic cataracts, performs well when penetrating through fluid (e.g., retinal detachment/tear) and is suitable for focal treatment of extrafoveal microaneurysms or vascular lesions near the macula. Yellow produces less light scatter and generally requires lower energy levels, improving patient comfort.

Green (532 nm)
Green laser light is well proven clinically for targeting melanin-containing retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). It is well suited for retinal treatments where melanin is the target chromophore, such as pan-retinal photocoagulation (PRP).

  • ClearView™ Filters – photopic balanced coating that eliminates color distortion and optimizes white light transmission for improved physician view of the treatment site.
  • Compatibility – works with a wide range of accessories and delivery devices (slit lamp adapters, LIOs, endoprobes, LaserLink adapters, Array LaserLink™), suitable for outpatient clinic and OR.

  • Delivery options include LaserLink adapters (Z and HS), Lumenis slit lamps, Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscopes (multicolor LIO), endoprobes (various gauges), and Array LaserLink™.

  • Optional accessories: Smart and PowerEase™ footswitches; selection of endophotocoagulation probes (standard, straight, curved, aspirating, illuminating, stepped) in 20, 23 and 25 gauge sizes; moving and fixed safety filters for surgical microscopes.
