Description

Overview
Smart Selecta Duet is an anterior segment laser platform combining YAG photodisruption and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Designed for ophthalmic clinics, the system integrates enhanced optics, an advanced laser cavity and is upgradeable to add photocoagulation. The SmartV option enables on-axis and off-axis illumination for treatment of vitreous opacities.

Key benefits & design
  • Combined YAG and SLT modalities in a single anterior segment laser platform.
  • Fully integrated optical and laser cavity architecture for consistent clinical performance.
  • Upgradeable system architecture allowing later addition of photocoagulation capability.
  • SmartV option for targeted vitreous illumination (on-axis and off-axis).

Proprietary advanced laser design
  • Automatic internal verification routines ensure each laser pulse meets required power specifications.
  • Secondary control unit provides shot-to-shot power accuracy monitoring.
  • Temperature-controlled KTP crystal ensures stability and accuracy of the 532 nm beam.
  • Careful component selection, laser delivery design and enhanced slit-lamp optics for reproducible performance.

Super Gaussian beam profile in YAG mode
The Super Gaussian beam profile achieves optical breakdown (photodisruption) at lower energy levels, enabling effective capsulotomy with fewer shots and reduced risk of IOL pitting and other adverse effects.

Additional features
  • Integrated storage space in the Selecta table for lenses and accessories.
  • Ergonomic joystick with EZGrip™ coating including integrated laser fire-switch.
  • Advanced adjustable posterior offset — 3 defocus positions with focal adjustment up to 350 µm posterior to the aiming beam.
  • Magnification changer — full slit-lamp function with 6-step magnification.
  • Electronic table height adjustment via up/down switch.
