The 9 Position MULTIVAP (Catalog# 11809) is a robust evaporator designed for the efficient concentration of large volume samples. It features a high-performance dry block heating system combined with a precision gas distribution manifold for controlled nitrogen flow, ensuring rapid and consistent solvent evaporation. Equipped with a dual-post frame, the MULTIVAP allows easy adjustment of needles or glass pipettes, directing nitrogen gas directly onto the sample’s surface. This design accelerates evaporation, ideal for labs needing quick concentration of samples in beakers or wide sample tubes. The instrument includes a unique manifold with individual toggle switches for each row of three samples. This feature allows users to conserve nitrogen by shutting off gas flow for rows with fewer than 9 samples. Adjustable flow meters and an integrated pressure regulator offer precise control over nitrogen delivery. The 9 Position MULTIVAP utilizes a durable aluminum dry block, reaching evaporation temperatures from 30°C to 120°C. It is designed to fit beakers with an outside diameter of 50 mm and comes with 9 beakers. Custom inserts are available for other sample sizes—just specify the outer diameter and length to the nearest 0.1 mm when placing an order. Gas flow is evenly distributed across all 9 positions, ensuring uniform evaporation. A heating element gently warms the samples to speed up the evaporation process, with acid-resistant versions available for applications involving corrosive solvents.
