Overview
Vulcan Sport badminton wheelchairs are offered as Made-to-Measure and Club ranges engineered for on-court agility, stability and precise responsiveness. Frame materials include 7020 T6 aluminium, titanium and lightweight magnesium to optimise strength-to-weight ratio. The range addresses needs from club players to elite athletes and is supplied in partnership with the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Materials & Construction
Made-to-Measure frames use Aircraft Grade 7020 T6 aluminium, titanium or magnesium for a low-weight, high-stiffness solution. Club models use robust steel for cost-efficiency and durability in training environments.

Made to Measure Range

• Frame materials: Aircraft Grade 7020 Aluminium (T6), Titanium or Magnesium.
• Wheels: Spinergy SPOX wheels as standard; available sizes: 24", 25", 26" or 700C Spinergy wheels.
• Fittings: Second fitting session included to refine frame geometry and ensure optimal posture and control.
• Contour Body Mapping (Contour Body Mapping®): Electronic contour scanning captures precise body dimensions (claimed accuracy ±2mm) to create a digitally tailored wheelchair.

Club Badminton Wheelchair (BDM25 Club Line) — Key features

• Seat widths: 380 mm (15"), 410 mm (16"), 430 mm (17").
• Rear wheels (club): Supplied with 25" Roader quick-release sport wheels.
• Frame (club): Durable steel construction; typical example weight ~14 kg.
• Safety: Single anti-tip wheel fitted as standard for added stability.

Adjustability & Comfort

• Footrest: Height adjustable on Made-to-Measure units; fixed with foot strap on selected club configurations.
• Upholstery: Adjustable-tension upholstery to optimise support and seating posture.
• Seat cushion: Foam seat cushion supplied with club models.
• Waist strap: Hook-and-loop waist strap included on club chairs for secure positioning.
• Castors & forks: Single or double anti-tip castors available with stepless adjustment; micro-castor forks used on specific setups.

Prescription & Fitting
The Made-to-Measure process uses a prescription form and Contour Body Mapping® scanning to capture anthropometric data and prescribe a tailored wheelchair. A second fitting session is provided to finalise frame adjustments, confirm posture and verify performance.
